R studio/band is just songs i wrote most of the songs just happen to be me putting the instrument tracks in, and my not so good vocals. some songs i had help with, friends coming over and having fun throwing in a lead or vocals i put / band because the friends helping me i've only put a few songs on this site hoping to find out if anybody would listen or even like the songs, but at any rate i really enjoy putting a song together recording, mixing, master mixing it's all very rewarding you can write whats on your mind , what you think about people you know or don't know. and sometimes even dreams or about places you been, what you want to do or plan to do, it's endless of what you can write about.( fly away my angel ) is about my mom after she had a stroke and was dying she and my wife got very close. i made a song out of it it is special to me and a special thanks to herb defrates for his vocals in that song and also 58 ford he is very talented as a song writer and engineer. we also did another version of fly away my angel that all i did was the lead guitar that came out awesome herb did the rest. also the recording and mixing the song ( i remember ) i was working on the rythum when my dad was very sick and i was trying to think about what to write about and then it came to me, and i told my dad what i was going to write about but he died before it was done. so it is a very special song dear to my hart. ( april dawn ) and ( jewelia ) are songs to my daughters ( most beautiful girl ) i wrote thinking about when my wife and i were young, and she still is the most beautiful girl the (ten commandments) god was working on me for what ever reason, but i could not go forward with my music until i got this song done. anybody that knows the lord knows what i mean.any way those commandments are still his commandments to this day, ( like it or not ) . the song ( his mark ) game to me in a very short time almost as if i wasn't doing the writing. and ( handsome man ) came to me in a dream and ( i'm lost and can't find my way ) also was a few dreams.
R studio is really just my version of a man cave. i toke a 1959 10' by 60' trailer and gutted out the kitchen and tore down the wall between the bed room and living room and built a 12" wall with glass windows and a door to make my control room . also tore out the bath room and wall to make my control room larger, the living room and kitchen i built floating walls with insulation over the existing walls and raised the floor in the kitchen for the drums. toke out the living room window and built a extended place with a counter top for the keyboards, also with the walls i went right over the windows after boarding them up. so there is now windows to help keep in the sound.the ceiling i added thicker insulation and also cut a square out of the walls in both the control room and music room for ac units. i put a match box car collection between the windows because the empty space needed something. added a thick metal front door dry wall on the walls and not yet decided what to finish it with still have more work to finish the project. i built a 8' by 40' deck in front so a band can play in my back yard. so it maybe small but it's big to me, and a 5 peace band can come in with nothing in hand and come out with a cd
